Mitchell E. Miller

Director of Public Services


Mr. Miller, a native of the Cincinnati metro area, has worked for the City of Riverside as the Director of Public Services since January 2007.  Prior to joining the City of Riverside, Mr. Miller acquired a variety of diverse skills over the last 30 years.  First working in the banking industry, Mr. Miller transitioned to GE Aircraft Engineering where he worked in production control and operational analysis.  In 1993, Mr. Miller transitioned into the public sector with Clermont County, Ohio; first in the Office of Management and Budget before transferring to the Clermont County Sewer District.  In 2003, Mr. Miller began serving as the Public Service Director for the City of Sharonville, Ohio before coming to Riverside.
He holds a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Kentucky University and a Masters in Business Administration from Xavier University.  He is also a former member of the armed services, having served three years on active-duty in the United States Army and an additional ten years as a Reservist.

The Service Department consists of several divisions which provide the service-oriented functions of the City of Riverside. These divisions include Engineering, Building and Grounds Maintenance, Street, Refuse and Recycling and Vehicle Maintenance. The service department has 13 fulltime employees.  They include 8 maintenance workers, a working foreman, an operations manager, a service department director, an administrative assistant and a custodian.

Our Mission: In cooperation with Federal, State, local agencies, and utilities maintain and where possible improve the Cities Infrastructure so that the Citizens and Commerce enjoy a safe and productive environment within to live and work.
