Riverside is proud of its high-quality school district. The middle school in the Mad River Local School District, which educates over 80% of Riverside’s children, has been designated as a “National School of Excellence” by the US Department of Education. The school district offers coursework in both college preparatory studies and vocational studies. In fact, Stebbins High School is one of only 25 comprehensive secondary education facilities in the State of Ohio. Enrollment in the late 1990′s and early 2000 has been at about 1,000 students for the high school and a total of 3,500 for the district.
Portions of Riverside are also serviced by Huber Heights, Fairborn, Beavercreek, and Dayton Public Schools. Placement in these school districts are determined by the student’s address. If you have any questions about which school district you reside in, do not hesitate to contact Mad River School District or the City of Riverside.
Area colleges and universities offer several hundred different degree programs. Wright State University, The University of Dayton, Central State University, the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), and Sinclair Community College together offer degree programs in mechanical engineering; electrical engineering; robotics and other manufacturing technologies; chemistry and other physical sciences; computer sciences; business management; and nursing.
