Job Posting: Zoning Administrator
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR: City of Riverside, Ohio (population 25,201) is seeking a talented professional to assist in the administration and coordination of various zoning, code enforcement, and departmental activities. The Department of Planning and Program Management, in addition to performing zoning and code enforcement duties, oversees a multitude of activities, grants, programs and projects. The department is also responsible for the development of the Comprehensive Plan and the Unified Development Code, which are both in need of revision. The Zoning Administrator is responsible for the review of permits, supervision of the Code Enforcement Officer, preparation of documents for the Planning Commission, Property Maintenance Appels Board (PMAB), and Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA), presentation to the BZA and PMAB, and is the Acting Director in the Directors absence. A Bachelor Degree in a related field and one to three years of applicable experience are required. Previous experience in a related field may substitute for formal education at the discretion of the City. Knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS) is desirable but not required. Hiring range is $40,000-$55,000, DOQ. Additional information may be obtained at www.riverside.oh.us.
